Chelsea vs Real Madrid Match Preview 05 May 2021

The second leg of the second semi-final game of this year’s UCL is the clash between Chelsea and Real Madrid. At the end of this game, we’ll have the second finalist, and considering the previous one ended 1-1, there’s everything to play for.

Chelsea come into the game continuing their amazing streak, having lost just two and drawn five from their last twenty in all competitions. Coach Thomas Tuchel will hope his troops can keep their run of form, and even maybe go on to win the coveted Cup! Key players such as Kai Havertz and Pulisic have stepped up in recent weeks, while Kante has been irreplaceable in the middle of the park. With a packed May schedule, the fear of injuries is still present, but the Blues seem to have more than enough left in their tank to make this one of the most successful to date.

Real Madrid are also in a good run of form. They’re undefeated in their last 19, having drawn just 6 of them. Manager Zinedine Zidane will hope his team can rally for a last hurrah before they turn their attention at home and make a push for the title. The Los Blancos can turn a disappointing season into an extraordinary one in this month, and winning here would go a long way towards turning that dream into a reality.

When it comes to injuries, both teams are close to having all payers available, with just Kovacic missing from Chelsea’s squad, while Real Madrid will have to do without the services of Carvajal, Vazquez, and potentially Varane, who’ll have a medical to check if he’s ready to go.
