Everton VS Tottenham Hotspur Game Preview 16 April 2021

Matchday 32 of the English Premier League starts off with a mouthwatering clash at Goodison Park between Everton and Tottenham Hotspur. The game will see Carlo Ancelotti’s troops go head to head with Jose Mourinho’s lads in what will surely be an entertaining encounter.

Everton are currently struggling in the league, having slumped from fifth to with position due to a poor run of games. In the last five games in the league, Everton have drawn two and lost three, meaning they’re in dire need to change their fortunes. Hosting Tottenham at this stage might prove to be the spark they need to finish the season on a high, but considering their home form can be described as mediocre at best, it remains to be seen whether they’ll be able to put one over the Londoners.

Tottenham are also struggling to get going in the league mainly due to fixture congestion. In the last five, they’ve lost twice, won twice, and drew once. Jose Mourinho will hope his troops will manage to get the job done on the road, and put pressure on Liverpool and Chelsea for the places that lead into Europe for the next season.

The treatment table at both clubs is a different story altogether. Ancelotti will have to do without the services of stars like Calvert-Lewin, Doucoure, Delph, and Mine, while Bernard might make the bench. Mourinho will have to do without the services of Doherty and Davis, but might want to rest some players, considering he has crucial games against Southampton and a EFL Cup Final date with Manchester City in just the next 6 days.

Can Ancelotti turn his side’s fortunes or will Mourinho bring back the days of old and sweep them aside? Tune in tonight for what will surely be an enthralling encounter!
