Leeds Utd vs Manchester Utd Game Preview 25 April 2021

Sunday afternoon brings us one of the more exciting games in the EPL, as Elland Road hosts the second game of the Roses rivalry for this season. Leeds vs Man United is not the rivalry of old, but it still an exciting game for both pundits and fans, as both teams are fighting to finish strongly in the Premier League.

Leeds United are currently in a great run, having won three and drawn two in their last five games in the Premier League. Coach Marcelo Bielsa will hope his troops can ride the wave of good form, having defeated leaders Man City and drawn with Liverpool in their last two. They’re currently 10th in the league, and are on course to stay up in the league, courtesy of good attacking play, but also leaky defense. This game is a matter of pride for them, so expect them to give Man Utd a tough time this Sunday afternoon.

Manchester United on the other hand are in the form of their life right now, having won their last five in all competitions, and the last five in the league. Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will hope his troops will keep conjuring magic and sweep aside opponents, making the second spot on the table theirs, before the players go to the Euros.

Injuries and suspensions might be a slight cause of concern for both clubs, as key players might miss this game. For Leeds: Cooper (red card), and Foreshaw (injury) are definitely out, while Raphinha and Rodrigo are doubts, pending medicals. For United: Jones and Martial will miss the game, while star forward Rashford is a doubt with a foot injury he picked up a few weeks ago.
