Leicester City VS Crystal Palace Match Preview 26 April 2021

There is no glamour in Monday night football, but this one we have a game that can be a real cracker. Leicester City host Crystal Palace in the penultimate game of the 33rd round of the English Premier League. Will the Foxes put pressure on United in the race for the second place, or will the Eagles manage to mathematically ensure survival this season? Read all the facts below!

Leicester City come into the game on the back of three wins and two loses into their last five in the league, currently sitting in third, one point ahead of Chelsea and three ahead of West Ham. This is a must-win for Brendan Rogers’ troops, as they might lose footing in their fight to ensure Champions League football for next season. A win here will ease the pressure on them for the season run-in, as they have games against Chelsea, Man United, and Tottenham coming up next.

The Eagles are having a mixed season so far, sitting in 13th, just 4 points above 17th placed Brighton & Hove Albion. Their recent form is not encouraging, as they’ve one just one of their last five in the league, and considering they have one of the leakiest defences in the league, manager Roy Hodgson will want to keep it tight in the back and clinical up front.

In terms of injuries and suspensions, Leicester will have to do without the services of Barnes and Justin, while Palace will have to do without Ferguson, McArthur, Wickham, while Clyne, Sakho, and Tomkins are doubts for the trip to the King Power stadium.
