The second match from Group C!
One of the favorites to win the Euros is going head to head against one of the minnows, in a match in which we’ll definitely see the Dutch turn on the style!
The Dutch enter this competition as one of the teams to watch for. Manager Frank de Boer has managed to put together a mix of players that works very hard and has an amazing teamwork spirit, something which has been lacking in previous squads. In their last five games, the Oranje have managed to win three, draw one, and lose one, meaning they’re in good enough form ahead of the tournament. They are the favorites in this group, so expect them to make an easy business of the Ukrainians!
The Ukraine team has the difficult job of facing one of the best teams at the Euros, but head coach Andriy Shevchenko knows a lot about winning and performing in big games, and will use his know-how to get his players in the right state of mind. The Blue and Yellow squad are undefeated in their last six, having won two and drawn four, but considering the opposition they faced, their form cannot be considered as good. This game can be a perfect chance for them to set the tempo for the remainder of the group games, so expect them to play with a lot of discipline, and try to get the Dutch on the break. All in all, they are the underdogs here.
Only one player will miss this match, and that’s Dutch stalwart Mathijs De Ligt, while everyone else is fit and raring to go.
