The double match for the French Ligue 1 is here!

Tonight is the duel between the third-placed team in the Ligue 2 and the eighteenth-placed team in the Ligue 1 in the French playoffs. The winning team in the double match will secure a place in the top tier of French football (Ligue 1) for next season. 

Toulouse had a great Ligue 2 campaign this season. They finished the regular season with 20 wins, 10 draws, and 8 losses. Also, they were the best scoring team in the league, finding the back of the net on 71 occasions. So when the semifinal came into their schedule, the Purples showed once again the great scoring ability they possess.

In the semifinal match against Grenoble, the Toulousains started the game with an early goal from their midfielder Stijn Spierings. In the 23rd minute, Kouadio Kone scored the second goal and ended the first half with 2:0 in their favor. 

At the end of the match, striker Rhys Healey scored the third goal and placed the final score on the board (3:0). 

But now the Toulousains are in front of the biggest challenge for the season.
Tonight they must be at their best for the great finale against Nantes in order to enter the top league. So, Patrice Garande must find a way to bring his crew into their best possible tactical and mental shape.

Nantes, on the other hand, have been struggling all season long. The Green and Yellows used to have big ups and downs in their form, so now they must put the right mindset and try to do their best in order to stay in the best French league. Tonight will be a big test of character for the Antoine Kombouaré boys since they had a very good series at the end of the season winning 4 consecutive matches before they lost their last game against Montpellier.
