Chelsea vs Leicester City Game Preview 15 May 2021

This year’s FA Cup brought on many surprises and exciting clashes, but the final is the cherry on top. The Blues will go head to head with the Foxes in the final at Wembley, with both sides looking to crown their successful seasons with silverware.

Chelsea have been in scintillating form recently - they’ve broken into the top four, they reached the UCL final, and are in the FA Cup final. Coach Thomas Tuchel has managed to pull the team up the table, and their recent form is more than a proof for their amazing resurgence. A cause for concern might be the packed schedule Chelsea have, which can put a lot of strain on the players, so betting that they’ll win here might not be the best course of action. Injuries can occur easily now, so there might be some rotation for this game.

Leicester City have done admirably as well. In the league they’re on the cusp of finishing in the top 4 this season, as they managed to solidify the third place, which means just one thing - UCL football for next season. In their last game in the EPL they beat Man United, and considering they won their previous encounter against Chelsea, they will most certainly relish their chances here. With just a few games until the curtain comes down on the 2020/21 season, they will surely play their hearts out on an occasion like this one.

Players from both teams will miss this game through injury. Namely, Andreas Christensen will miss the game for Chelsea, while Kante and Kovacic are doubts, pending medicals. Leicester will be without Barnes, Justin, and Morgan, while Johnny Evans is a doubt.
