FC Koln vs Holstein Kiel Match Preview 26 May 2021

It’s the Bundesliga playoffs finale night!

You can witness the ‘to be or not to be’ in the first leg for a place in the Bundesliga.

FC Koln are playing quite well lately. The Billy Goats managed to make some great results in the last games of the season and avoid direct relegation to Bundesliga 2. They had a good run with 3 wins out of their last 5 games of the season.

The new manager Friedhelm turned out to be a stroke of genius for the club's administration, and tonight will be his biggest challenge to prove that he is the right man for the job.

The only player out of the tie for FC Koln due to injury will be midfielder Elvis Rexhbecaj, while striker Sebastian Andersson is a doubt because of his knee injury.

On the other hand, Holstein Kiel are in a great position to enter the top German league next season. The Storks are on a somewhat shaky run, because after they won 4 consecutive games, they lost the final two games of the season. This puts them in a position to play in the playoffs finale for survival in the Bundesliga even though this probably wasn't their plan before the last games of the campaign.

Ole Werner is under extra pressure because his team is ravaged with injuries. Five players won't be available for tonight's match. Striker Ahmet Arslan, the defenders Mikkel Kirkeskov and Stefan Thesker plus the midfielders Jonas Meffert and Alexander Muhling are all out of the roster for the match.

This makes this first leg very unpredictable and exciting because everything can happen and no one can predict the outcome.
