Germany vs Denmark Friendly Preview 02 June 2021

Friendly clashes are far from games filled with glamour or excitement, but here we have two vibrant teams looking to stamp their authority and tout their Euro Cup credentials! Both teams have a lot to play for, so expect both teams to fight tooth and nail for every ball.

Die Mannschaft come into the game - and the tournament - with a lot to play for, and prove that their previous ventures in friendlies and tournaments have been nothing but bad days. The German National team walks into every competition as one of the favorites, but they’ve somehow lost their fear factor ever since becoming World Champions back in 2014. On top of everything, they’re walking into this match and the tournament with a new manager - former Bayern Munich head coach Hansi Flick. The coach will now look for his team to prove themselves of a place in the team, so expect German to start on the front foot from the get-go.

The Danes aren’t considered favorites for the upcoming Euros, but they have an exciting team that can cause trouble - even to more experienced teams. Head coach Kasper Hjulmand will look to solidify his team ahead of the continental tournament, and they’re on good course so far. The Red and Whites have won four of their last five, losing one, and have kept their sheet clean in the last three - an amazing record!

There are quite a few players that might miss this game - either through injury or just precaution. Havertz, Werner, Gundogan, and Rudiger, will probably be rested, while Kroos, Goretzka, and Musiala, are doubts with injuries. Christiansen, Jensen, and Norgaard are all doubts, pending fitness issues.

Tune in to see Die Mannschaft turn on their style with a new manager at the helm - or the Danes show that they’re no pushovers and that they’re capable of upsetting even the best!
