PSG VS Manchester City Game Preview 27 April 2021

This year, in this extraordinary season in world football, we got two nouveau-riche clubs fighting it out for a place in the final of the Champions League. Both clubs are looking for their first title in the competition, after years of entering the knock-out stages, and being one of the favorites, now they have a real shot at winning it.

PSG are looking to make it to the final for the second year in a row, and now have the formidable task of seeing out one of the best teams in Europe, led by one of the best coaches in the world. Mauricio Pochettino’s troops have been in fine form ever since he took the reins, and have all to play for considering they might lose the league title to rivals Lille. A make or break for the Argentine coach considering he was brought on to do what his predecessors couldn’t - make PSG the kings of Europe.

The Citizens on the other hand are looking to reach the final for the first time in history, and possibly even win it. They are 1st in England, and on course to win the title as they have a comfortable lead of 10 points. In Europe however, they’ll need to be at their best to defeat the French champions, as Pep Guardiola looks to finally break his hoodoo and win the UCL after 10 years, with his last win being with Barcelona back in 2011.

PSG come into the game with a few players missing, namely Bernat, Letellier, and Rafinha, while star Mbappe is a doubt, pending a medical. The Citizens walk into the semi-final with a clean bill of health, and Pep Guardiola will have all his players at disposal.
