Red Star Belgrade vs Partizan Game Preview 25 May 2021

The big clash is here again!

Tonight at Rajko Matic stadium in Belgrade you can witness the biggest Serbian derby of them all, Red star vs Partisan. After the great run they have this season, it just couldn't end up any more exciting than this. Both teams are in great shape which gives them a great opportunity to play excellent football with no hesitation.

Red Star had a great run in the Serbian Cup, showing great football ability and determination on the pitch. In the 1/16 final the Reds beat Zlatibor Cajetina 4:2 in a very exciting match with 6 great goals, 5 of them in the second half. After the 0:2 advantage for Zlatibor, the Dejan Stanković crew showed great character and fighting spirit, scoring 4 goals in just 15 minutes. A similar case was in the ⅛ finale when the Red and Whites ended up winning 2:1 against FC Rad. In the quarter-final against New Belgrade, the job was done in the first half, where Red Star scored all the 3 goals and won the game. The semifinal match against Radnik was another great football fight that ended up 2:1 in favor of Red Star.

Partizan are playing great football as well. After the Red Star won the Serbian Super League, the Cup finale will be a great chance for the Black and Whites to bring a trophy home and restore their pride once again. Aleksandar Stanojević’s team also showed great performance in the Cup games, winning Backa 2:0 in the 1/16 finale, then Metalac 0:1 in the 1/8, after that they won against FC Vozdovac with 4:0 in dominating quarter finale game, and 0:1 win against Vojvodina in the semi-final match. 

Now it’s time to wrap up the season in an excellent manner, and a great chance for Red Star to become the ultimate champion, or Partisan to show us once again they are always capable of winning trophies.
